I'm working on an event manager for local radical communities/movement in the hope they will leave fb. The beauty about using our own platform and not the platform of capitalism is that we do want users and information to be free, so exporting in rss/ics/mail/embed and mastodon is natural for us, but it's something fb couldn't do.
